Community Guidelines

Work2Wed combines professional networking with matrimonial intent — two things that only work if people are genuine, respectful, and honest about who they are. These guidelines apply to your profile, photos, posts, comments, and messages.

1. Be yourself

• Use your own name, your own photos, and accurate information about your job, education, and marital status.
• Don't create an account on someone else's behalf, or impersonate another person, company, or public figure.
• Don't misrepresent your employer or role when submitting employment verification — see our Verification Policy for what happens if you do.

2. Photos

Your photos should be real, recent pictures of you. We automatically flag (never auto-remove) photos that appear to have no face, multiple people, heavy blur, or poor lighting, so you can fix them before others see them. Photos that are sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate will be removed and may result in suspension.

3. Posts and comments

Work2Wed's feed is for professional and personal updates — career milestones, travel, hobbies, questions. Content is not allowed if it:

• Is sexually explicit, violent, or graphic;
• Harasses, threatens, or demeans another person or group;
• Promotes hate or discrimination based on religion, caste, community, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
• Is spam, a scam, or unrelated advertising/solicitation;
• Shares another member's private information (their photos, documents, messages, or verification status) without their consent;
• Is illegal under Indian law.

Any member can report a post or another member — reports go to our moderation team for review, and we can remove content or suspend accounts as a result.

4. Messaging

Messaging opens up only after two members mutually connect. Once connected, treat the other person the way you'd want to be treated:

• No unsolicited sexual content, harassment, or repeated contact after someone has asked you to stop;
• No requests for money, gifts, or financial information — see our Safety Policy on romance-scam patterns;
• No sharing a connection's photos, documents, or personal details outside the platform without their consent.

5. One relationship goal, honestly stated

If your intentions on Work2Wed are professional networking only, or matrimonial, or both, that's entirely fine — the platform supports all of it. What isn't fine is misrepresenting your intentions to manipulate someone (for example, claiming matrimonial intent you don't have).

6. Enforcement

Depending on severity and history, violations of these guidelines can result in content removal, a formal warning, temporary suspension, or permanent account removal. Serious violations — harassment, threats, scams, illegal content — can result in immediate suspension without prior warning. If you believe a decision was made in error, you can appeal via our Grievance Redressal process.
