Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Work2Wed, a professional matchmaking platform operated in India (“Work2Wed”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and our other policies linked throughout this page. If you do not agree, do not use Work2Wed.

1. Eligibility

You may use Work2Wed only if you:

• Are at least 18 years old;
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under Indian law;
• Are not barred from using Work2Wed under any applicable law;
• Have not been previously suspended or removed from Work2Wed for violating these Terms; and
• Are registering to seek genuine professional connections or a matrimonial relationship for yourself, not on behalf of, or impersonating, someone else.

One account per person. Creating multiple accounts, or creating an account for someone else without their knowledge, is a violation of these Terms.

2. Your account

You must register with a work email address, which we verify by one-time code before your profile becomes visible to others. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately (see Contact & Grievance Redressal) if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate information — your name, date of birth, employment details, and anything else you choose to add — and to keep it up to date. Misrepresenting your identity, employment, marital status, or intentions is a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension.

3. Verification badges

Work2Wed offers a work-email badge and an employment-verification badge (reviewed against a payslip, offer letter, or employment letter you submit). These badges reflect the outcome of our review process at a point in time — they are a trust signal, not a guarantee of a person's character, intentions, or current employment. 4. AI-assisted features

Work2Wed uses AI to help you fill in your profile faster (drafting from a CV or free text you provide), to explain why you and another member matched, and to flag possible issues with a photo or a submitted employment document for human review. In every case:

• AI-drafted profile content is a suggestion only — nothing is saved until you review and apply it yourself;
• AI never makes a final decision on your employment verification, identity, or matching eligibility — a deterministic rule set and, where relevant, human review from our team make that call;
• AI-generated match explanations describe the same compatibility signals already shown to you elsewhere in the product, in prose form — they never introduce new criteria, and never reference religion, community, or income.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Work2Wed offers a free tier and paid Pro/Premium tiers with additional features. Paid plans are billed up front for a fixed period (currently monthly) via Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay processes them directly. Renewing before your current period ends extends it; renewing after it has lapsed starts a new period from the payment date. You can cancel anytime from your Billing page, which downgrades you to the free tier immediately with no refund for the remaining period — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full terms and the limited cases where a refund applies.

6. Content you post

You keep ownership of the profile information, photos, and posts you submit. By posting, you grant Work2Wed a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content within the product for the purpose of operating the service (for example, showing your profile to other members according to your privacy settings, or your posts in other members' feeds). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with, or reported by, another member as part of a safety review.

You're solely responsible for what you post. Content and conduct that violate our Community Guidelines or Safety Policy may be removed, and repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or account removal.

7. Messaging

You can only message another member after you're mutually connected. This is a deliberate design choice to reduce unsolicited contact. Messages are private between you and the recipient; we don't read them except as part of investigating a report you or the other party has filed, or where required by law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove your account if you violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or our Safety Policy, including for behavior reported by other members and reviewed by our team. You can delete your own account at any time from Account & Security in your profile settings — this permanently removes your profile, photos, verification documents, connections, matches, messages, and posts, and cannot be undone. 9. No guarantee of outcome

Work2Wed helps you discover and connect with other professionals; it does not guarantee that you will find a compatible match, a relationship, or a marriage. Compatibility scores and AI explanations reflect the information members have chosen to share and are not a promise about real-world compatibility.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Work2Wed is provided “as is.” We do not verify the identity, intentions, relationship status, or background of members beyond the specific badges described in our Verification Policy. You are responsible for exercising judgment and caution in any interaction, online or offline — see our Safety Policy for concrete guidance. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, Work2Wed and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or your interactions with other members.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. We'll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use Work2Wed after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Work2Wed is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
